David Eres Brun, Artistic Director
David Eres Brun performs outstanding work for the diffusion of Spanish music in and outside of his native Spain. His international career as a conductor and guitarist specializes in Hispanic repertoire. Considered by critics “ambassador of Spanish culture” (Las Provincias Newspaper), he has a wide stage experience which makes a reference his performances of Spanish music.
The musical training of David Eres Brun began at the Conservatories “Maestro Tárrega” of Castellon and “Joaquin Rodrigo” of Valencia, being nominated to the “Premio Extraordinario Fin de Carrera” Prize. Grant from the Gonell Foundation, studied postgraduate course at the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris. He attended masterclasses with leading names on the international scene: Leo Brouwer, David Russell, Ricardo Gallén, Roberto Ausell, Roland Dyens, Carlos Bonell, Manuel Barrueco, Luis Bacalov, Arturo Tamayo, Peter Maxwell-Davies. He attended advanced courses at the University of Alcalá, Academia Chigiana di Siena and the Vienna Conservatory.
He is Chief Conductor of specialized international ensembles. He is also Music Director of prestigious spanish orchestras: Filarmonía Hispánica, Orquesta Académica de Valencia. He is Artistic Director of IDM (Instituto para el Desarrollo Musical).
As a composer he has premiered numerous works, highlighting the compositions for solo guitar and symphonic repertoire. His music has been performed by international groups and soloists in concerts and festivals throughout Europe.
He is Artistic Director of the Daniel Fortea International Festival and ‘Semana Tárrega’. His concerts led him to perform as soloist in prestigious venues worldwide.
